President appoints Ahmed Muthasim Adnan as Chief Justice of the Maldives

President his excellency Mr. Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed Uz. Ahmed Muthasim Adnan as the Chief Justice of the Maldives. The letter of appointment was presented by Mr. Solih at a ceremony held on 08th December 2019 at the President’s Office.
Honorable Uz. Ahmed Muthasim Adnan also served as a Justice of the Supreme Court of the Maldives from 10th August 2010 to 14th December 2014.
The Supreme Court of the Maldives comprises 7 Justices including the Chief Justice. They are Chief Justice Honorable Uz. Ahmed Muthasim Adnan, Justice Honorable Dr. Azmiralda Zahir, Justice Honorable Uza. Aisha Shujune Muhammad, Justice Honorable Uz. Mahaz Ali Zahir and Justice Honorable Uz. Husnu Al Suood. And the rest is to be appointed.
