Honorable Chief Justice of the Maldives, Abdulla Saeed returns to Male’ after an official visit to New Delhi, India, on an invitation of Honorable Chief Justice of India, T.S. Thakur.
Honorable Chief Justice Abdulla Saeed attended the “Global Conference on National Initiative Towards Strengthening Arbitration and Enforcement” in India. The Conference aimed to provide a platform to the Indian legal and policy making fraternity to engage with the broader international commercial arbitration community.
Chief Justice of Singapore, Bangladesh and Bhutan also participated in this 3 days long conference.

During his visit, Honorable Chief Justice of the Maldives met with Honorable Chief Justice of India, T.S. Thakur and discussed to further strengthen the cooperative relations between the judiciary of Maldives and India. In this meeting held at the Supreme Court of India, senior judges of Supreme Court of India also participated. Chief Justice also visited the Library of Supreme Court of India, Research Centre and Museum of Supreme Court of India.
Honorable Chief Justice Abdulla Saeed me with Chief Justice of Singapore, Honorable Sundaresh Menon, and discussed about provision of support by Singapore Judiciary to Maldives Judicial Academy.
Honorable Chief Justice of Maldives was accompanied by Honorable Justice of the Supreme Court, Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Didi and Registrar of the Supreme Court, Ms. Mariyam Shamma Ismail.
